THANKS AMERICAN IDOL
What does that got to do with this competition?
Last month, I was in line for the next season's American Idol. Just like how Daughtry got lucky, the main purpose of me being there was to give a lil bit more exposure to Soul Distraction.
Even though the judges thought I was good, I was not what "they are looking for". I was not disappointed for that rejection, actually relieved. I was surrounded by mostly "teeny boppers" and I don't think I could last more than five minutes in a room with them.
So we drove 12+ hours back from UT to WA in a day and this was what we heard on the radio:
A CHANCE TO OPEN UP FOR MOTLEY CRUE.
We both said, "YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!"
Fast forward to present time, here we are right now.
A lot of respect goes out to everyone involved to make this competition happen. Thank you for giving us, indie artists, this incredible opportunity. Surely we'll learn lots of new things and we are looking forward to that.
In addition, we have another exciting news to share.
We are featured (will be out in our MEDIA section soon) on two pages in Singapore's The New Paper. According to Wikipedia about The New Paper:
"It is the second most-read paid English daily in Singapore, with an average daily readership of about half a million."
Diligence and motivation to succeed surely helps!
